about

In the early 2000's I performed a live soundtrack alongside showings of the old silent film 'Der Golem' in VA. Folks seemed to like it, so in 2006-2007 I put together a soundtrack album with a handful of tracks (free to download, but only 128kbs). I also had a CD in print for a short while with a bonus track.

This time around, in addition to remastering from the original files it seemed logical to maybe have some fun and expand on things a bit. So, the original 50-minute album is now around 85 minutes long with several additional pieces from the score added. In a few cases, I've gone back and added new parts to the pieces to make them stand better on their own. The bonus track from the CD is also there.

In some cases I wasn't able to find the original multitrack files, and used the 2-track mixdowns instead. As best as possible, I've kept everything matched.

For details into the tracks (which ones are new, which were enhanced, etc.), I've got some notes on the individual songs.

Doing a pseudo-score like this had been on my wishlist for quite some time, and I really want to thank Steve (Bones!), his wife Andrea, and Tom from DC-SOAR for helping to make this happen.
