about

Not gonna lie...I love this tune. Inspired by some footage I saw of small candles being set adrift on a river at dusk (might've been Baraka, but I don't want to draw undue comparisons to the epic work that Michael Stearns did for that flick). Just about everything about this song worked for me, from the synth textures to the storm FX and even the bells at the end.

The final piano bit is actually the intro to a different piece, a tribute of sorts to Rick Wright after his passing. I'd originally intended for that tune to be on this album but in the end, it just felt a little too out of place.
