This song (as well as Boarding Pass) was originally written to be the opening for another project, something I started years ago but long ago abandoned as beyond my skills. At some point in the past year I decided that it would be perfect as a finale to this album instead. Perhaps it is my own perspective but when I listen now, I hear a beautiful, melancholy resignation...once more, we set forth into the void of the world. Whatever comes to pass, there's already a sense of peace.

This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I was honestly afraid to release it for quite some time because I didn't want to let the song down with my limitations as an engineer. When I first heard what James Plotkin did with this song, I actually got a bit misty-eyed; it was *there* and everything I had wanted it to convey. I'm so incredibly grateful for his work in making this song (and indeed this entire project) what it now is.

This is kind of the ying/yang of this album for me: a meditation on pessomism but beneath the surface, this has been a deeply cathartic experience for me, even giving me a sense of hope and optimism about my creative future.

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper
