Probably the most bleak thing I've done. Conceptually it is about departures; death, separation, growing distant, shadows of things long gone, and other wonderfully peppy subjects. That said, it is also one of my very favorite works; heavy on atmosphere and the most "me" of my various albums.

The music was written on and off between 2007 and 2010 at home in VA.
